Inject some socialization into your solo writing time by coming to the library for conversation, inspiration and feedback on writing projects. Sign up is not required. One-on-One Digital Literacy Appointments:

Our Digital Literacy staff will give you the confidence to navigate a variety of technology items from smartphones to computers to online job applications  to scanning documents- we have all your questions covered, free of charge!

Our skilled staff will work with your schedule to find the best meeting time. Appointments are typically an hour. For more information and to set up an appointment, email [email protected], or call the library for more information at (607) 936-3713.

Volunteer

Volunteering at the Book Repair, Kathy Tonglibrary is a great way to give back to the community and have fun while you’re doing it. Individuals and organizations are welcome to give time to the library. Get a jump on the process by filling out your volunteer form in advance. Click here to download the form. Creation Station

The Creation Station Makerspace at the Southeast Steuben County Library is a space where people can create things and projects!

The CREATION STATION, houses a MakerBot Replicator 3D Printer available for Patrons to have 3D projects printed for them, a Laminator, a Scanner, a Binding Machine, A Cricut Explore Cutting Machine, Sewing Machines, a Serger, a variety of graphic software; like Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator, a selection of crafting tools and so much more!!

Makerspace projects that will be available to be created at the Southeast Steuben County Library include:

  • 3 D Printer created projects*
  • Computer created projects
  • Sewing projects*
  • Scanning
  • Art projects*
  • Scrapbooking projects*
  • Drawing

All Patrons interested in using the Creation Station will be required to receive training before using the space.  Projects that require training are only accessible upon staff availability.

*Some projects will require a small fee for materials.
