Turn trash into haute fashion treasure during Friday Fashion Club meetings at the Southeast Steuben County Library and represent the library in the Recycled Runway Fashion Show.
The club meets from 4-5:30 p.m. on Jan. 22, Feb. 26, March 25, April 22 and May 27, 2016. During these meetings participants will design and create wearable art created from unconventional materials like plastic bottles or dryer lint, anything you might generally throw away or recycle. Talented guest designers will help participants go from concept to completed project for the catwalk.
The fashion show is held in June and benefits The ARTS Council of the Southern Finger Lakes.
Those ages 10 and up are eligible to participate. There is a maximum of 10 students for this project. Sign up is required by calling (607)936-3713 ext. 213.
